Library Suits
The Library Suits... From Essex this way comes a band that brings with it ‘honest, edgy rock’ born from a love of music and inspired by acts such as Idlewild, Feeder and Biffy Clyro.
This band are not only a good watch live, they also have some of the best song titles in the world of music. The song they performed for Hollyoaks Music Show, ‘Jeremy Kyle’s Inner Valkyrie’ is the best example of this, with ‘The Young Know Nearly All There Is To Know’. Poignant, witty lyrics and ruddy good tunes to back it up are what makes this band such a good act. Actor Sonny Flood from Hollyoaks championed them during their appearance on the Music Show spin off from the popular soap-and you should trust his opinion.
The Library Suits were born out of the ashes of F451 (a little literary joke just for the Ray Bradbury fans) in the summer of 2008. In September of that year the group travelled to Wales with the idea of recording a four track E.P. A week later The Library Suits, with producer Neak Menter had fashioned 'Because It's Somewhere To Be...' an eight track release which considering the group had only been rehearsing for three months, was quite an achievement. In 2010 they are back, stronger than ever, with mature, catchy tunes that go round and round in your head until you find yourself singing along. Stand out track ‘You don’t have to be a Wizard’ is an absolute corker. The Chelmsford four-piece create a genuinely passionate sound.
And here is what the media say:
"The Library Suits are without doubt, one of the most exciting bands to come out of Essex in a long time. When they get it right, their rock and roll anthems are simply irresistable" - Music.co.uk
"A rollicking rocknroll embracing a smooth reading of Sonic Youth’s more poppy edges and Feeder-go-commercial ramalama punkiness too." - Bugbear
"Sometimes things just seem to fall into place. That's certainly would appear to be the case with The Library Suits, one of the most popular new bands in Chelmsford." - Essex Chronicle
"Because It's Somewhere To Be" is an exciting first record, that shows wonderful promise as the band mature into talented young men." - Panic! Magazine
"Even when hearing the new songs for the first time it’s like you already know them. This is a band that really stick in your head. " - Panic! Magazine
Dancing is mandatory. Do not miss this band!
