Fundraiser goes down a storm 17 June 2005 |
|
 We had a fantastic gig on Friday 17th June to raise funds for the Festival. 'Anonmouzz' set a very high standard when they opened the show with a great mix of original material and covers.
'Downside Up' followed that with a high energy set of their own songs which saw the establishment of a the first serious moshpit. 'Carrier' then went on to demonstrate why they headlined last year's Festival with a very tight set, no idea where they got their energy from in that heat!!
It was a great night out for everyone, thanks to all three bands, their fans who came out in force to see them and everyone else who helped with PA, lights, dry ice effects, tickets, food and drink. Click here to view some photos from the night. |

Festival 2006 - Coverage on local radio and websites |

BBC Essex wil be previewing this years festival in a 15 minute slot on Wednesday 6th July. Steve Pickles of the Kelvedon Free Music Festival committee will take the mic at about 1.30pm to promote the event. Make sure you listen in! There may also be a phone interview later this week with Dream 107.7FM, so keep your ears open - confirmation to follow!
We're also featured on the BBC Essex website which can only be good for the growth of the festival! |

Fundraising gig on 17th June 2005 |

| Last year's Festival headliners, 'Carrier', will be playing a fundraising gig for this year's event on Friday 17th June at Feering Community Centre. Doors open at 7.30pm, and its just £5 on the door. Special guests will be Battle Of The Bands competitors from this year, 'Anonmouzz', and from last year, 'Downside Up'. |

Kelvedon Free Music Festival website launched! |

 Today sees the launch of our new website - we hope you like it! After six years of successful festivals which just keep getting better and better, we thought it was about time we had more of a presence on the web. Thanks go to Russell Gillman for designing the site and getting us online!
Hopefully the site will become your first stop for news on forthcoming festivals and line-ups. We'll be adding to the site from time to time to develop an archive of previous festivals, so keep your eyes peeled as you might appear in one of the photos!
